‘I need that solution!’: County government leverages Variphy to customize reports

The Challenge of Finding the Right Reporting Solution for CUCM
After Macomb County moved to their new calling platform, they looked for an analytics and reporting solution that could help them optimize their CUCM data. They tried one of Variphy’s competitors, but they were not getting what they needed to track and report on their defined metrics.
“The reporting product we had been using before wasn’t doing the job. It was frustrating!” Dawn Montagne, infrastructure technician at Macomb County, said. They signed up for a 30-day trial to explore Variphy’s many features. Montagne was “blown away” by how quickly the full application was deployed. She was used to deployments taking hours or days to finish — with their previous analytics solution, it had taken six months for a simple upgrade to be completed — but the Variphy application was up and running in minutes.
Customizable Dashboards and Reports That Fit Their Needs
During their proof of concept (POC), Montagne explored Variphy’s reporting and analytics features. “I took my time and went through all the modules. I was really impressed with everything I could do with Variphy.”
For Macomb County, the most valuable feature Variphy delivered was phone reports. Their previous solution provided templates, but they were limited in how those templates could be modified. With Variphy, they can create reports from scratch and customize them to fit their needs.
The county also found Variphy’s dashboards and widgets to be “amazing.” They liked that they could share dashboards — which can be configured to display the data they wanted to track — across teams.
After their POC, Macomb County chose to subscribe to Variphy because of all the features they were able to leverage. “Variphy has automated some of our processes,” Montagne said. “I can schedule reports out and not worry about data integrity.”

The county also enjoys the training they receive from Variphy’s team to make the most out of the application and the county’s call data. “The training was awesome. The instructor was very knowledgeable, and Variphy’s knowledge base is amazing,” Montagne said.
As they continue to gain insight into their CUCM data through granular reporting, Macomb County plans to subscribe to other Variphy features like Remote Phone Control to help them streamline the management of their calling environment.
